Our Vision
Established in 2015, LUFN aims to create public and private partnerships to improve the current urban agriculture and food systems within South African.
Our Mission
Lukhanyo Urban Farming Network (pty) ltd aims to produce fresh and nutritious vegetables using organic farming methods on our farm for our markets and the community at large.
Our mission is to release inherent social and economic opportunities that lie embedded within vacant and under-utilised land parcels located in school grounds. We see the opportunity that urban agriculture provides to assist in various social and economic challenges that occur in the Cape Flats. We aim to crate public and private partnership that align with our core values, to empower all stake-holders and work towards improving the current urban agricultural landscape, food systems, resulting in an improvement in education, social cohesion and the environment. Through appropriate revenue generating mechanisms.
"Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.”
